I’ll wager that if you are developer working with Microsoft technologies you heard of the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference (PDC).  While TechEd and MIX are annual events PDC only happens every 3-4 years.

PDC 2008 is only a month away and it is starting to look like a whole lotta fun.  I’m going this year and can’t wait to see some of the new products and technologies revealed.

When

Pre-Conference: October 26, 2008
Conference: October 27–30, 2008

Where

Location:
Los Angeles Convention Center
1201 South Figueroa Street
Los Angeles, CA 90015

Registration

There are still slots available for you if you hurry. Go to http://www.microsoftpdc.com/Registration/ to sign up.  PDC is not cheap, this year it is $2400.

You can get a hotel for a conference sanctioned price ($140 to $280)   Some of my friends who’ve been to other PDCs in LA have stayed at cheaper hotels near the convention center.  You won’t get bus service to the conference center if you’re not at one of the ~20 official hotels however.  There are other advantages to staying in the official hotels.  Half the fun of going to these conferences is talking to other developers and socializing  after the main events in the hotel lounge.

My social calendar is already overflowing.  Meet-ups with the Silverlight Insiders and WPF Disciples for sure and even more pending.
